​My work is about being in the world: paintings about light shining through the trees just so, drawings exploring the patterns in the building across the street, sketches of animals caught in a burst of silliness. 

 

Since I love to paint and draw what I see, I often have my sketchbook on me. I can pause to draw my surroundings while getting coffee or walking in the woods. This way, my work stays immediate and grounded.
